Our environmental policy

As manufacturers we enjoy crafting those unique characteristics into furniture that our customers appreciate but we also understand the importance of managing the forests & ensuring their long term sustainability.

Sustainable

We use timber harvested from temperate forests. Our suppliers are able to provide FSC or PEFC certificates to prove that the forests are managed properly & that for every tree felled, a new one is planted.

Recycling

Recycling is also important to us. Most of our shavings are used for conversion into board materials such as chipboard or for animal litter. We are also happy to let the local community use our off-cut timber to heat their homes.

Reduced waste

The staining & lacquering of furniture can also have an adverse effect on the environment. To minimise these effects, we use spray equipment which reduces lacquer wastage. We also use environmentally friendly water based stains.

State of the art

As a manufacturer of furniture we have a factory full of electricity hungry machinery. To compensate for this we have installed state of the art capacitors to reduce our consumption of electricity. Our factory complies with the latest building standards. Through efficient insulation our staff are warm but we use less energy than before.
